We started English lessons this morning. We worked on introductions and how to handle it when he begins to meet new people. (He also helped me with some Russian). He already knew how to count to ten and pretty good at counting to twenty. He is very helpful and looks for things to do. He helped cooked breakfast, wanted to wash the dishes and helped get eggs. He will stop what he is doing and come help you if he sees that you have begun a project.
The translator web site where he can type Russian and push a button to translate to English is wonderful. I think he enjoys the time we sit on the couch and have a conversation with the help of the computer. I don't think he has any experience with computers at all so the internet isn't a problem. He has given no inkling or desire to do anything with the internet at all. (My computer requires a password to be on it anyway).
He seems to like to eat most things....and he got introduced to Jaarsma's bakery today when we were in Pella.
